In 2007, the Women's Leadership Initiative (WLI) council of the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley broadened its focus of empowering women through the creation of a new program, the Emerging Leaders (EL). This group of young women, target ages 21-45, is committed to making a measurable impact in the Lehigh Valley community with the help and assistance of the WLI council.

Meeting monthly, the group of women works together to advise the WLI council on issues and perspectives of young professional women in our community.
